Cisza 1.1

"Cisza" is an application designed to support the practice of Heart Prayer, also known as Jesus Prayer or Christian Meditation. This form of meditation has gained particular prominence in Poland through the efforts of the Benedictine Monastery in Lubin.

Christian Meditation is a prayer practice that, through the repetition of an invocation, guides the practitioner to understand the depth of God revealed through His salvific acts accomplished in Christ, the Word Made Flesh, and in the gift of His Spirit—always manifested through a human and earthly dimension.

Meditation can be practiced sitting on a cushion, stool, or chair. It can also be integrated into daily activities—while commuting, waiting for a bus, or during a layover at an airport.

The application offers the flexibility to tailor meditation sessions to one's daily rhythm. Sessions operate in the background, allowing users to select an appropriate moment and set the duration for meditation. Once initiated, users can turn off their devices to minimize distractions; a gentle gong sound will indicate the beginning and end of each session.

In addition to supporting regular meditative practices, "Cisza" aims to promote awareness of this spiritual discipline. The app includes a brief history of this form of prayer, practical tips for meditation, a regularly updated collection of related books, and a list of films from the Benedictine Monastery in Lubin, which houses the oldest center for promoting Christian Meditation in Poland.
